Home Services
Home services at Dunedin Public Libraries.
We provide library services to residents who find it difficult to get out of their own homes without
assistance.
If you cannot come to a library or bookbus for reasons of illness, disability or the like, then
Home Services is
for you.
Home Services provides a free service to people who are confined to their homes for any
reason.
All the resources of the libraries are open to you, with the exception of reference material. You
may select from:
- Large print or ordinary print fiction and nonfiction books
- Talking books – books on cassette and CD
- Music on cassette and CD
- Magazines
- Videos and DVDs
We are also happy to provide an information service for you, searching the Internet and library
databases.
Home services at Dunedin Public Libraries.
We will visit you at home and start to build a profile of your likes and dislikes, in order to
select material you will
enjoy. Our staff are experts at helping you explore the resources of the libraries, finding
wonderful new authors and
subjects, movies and music.
Material is collected from the libraries or bookbuses, delivered by family or friends,
or in some cases library volunteer couriers.
To join Home Services or for more information please phone Dunedin Public Libraries on 474-3690
or email us.
