Problems logging into the databases
There are many reasons why you may have trouble logging into the databases. Below are possible reasons, and things you can try to gain access to the databases.
Am I entitled to use the databases from home?
Remote access to the databases is only available to current Dunedin Public Library members (see exclusions below). Want to join? - click here. Others are welcome to use the databases inside our libraries.
Are you a current member?
To check, contact the library during open hours, OR go to the My Card tab in the online Library catalogue and enter your barcode number and PIN. If you are taken to your "Account Overview" page, your access details are correct
Barcode number and PIN:
Are you using the correct barcode number? Your barcode number is on the your library card. You must enter all numbers after 2900100 with no spaces.
Your PIN is usually your birthdate in numeric form (ie 16587 for 16/5/87). If your pin doesn't work, please phone the library on 474 3690 to reset it.
Do you owe $20 or more?
If you do, you will need to reduce your charges to under $20. To make a payment, visit one of our library branches
Do you have lost library items that you have not returned or paid for? Do you have more than 20 items overdue?
Please either return or pay for overdue or lost items.
